A lesson from the Book of Bob Chapter:20
And the academics and the mainstream news media the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of public opinion.
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
Is it lawful for us to believe in Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, or no?
But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
And he spake further saying, for it is written that, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God and it is further written that the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
For the world without words exists, yet without words it is dark and uncomprehended.
Thus it is with Darwin’s Theory of Evolution which is a darned good theory about this world. But you bunch of knuckleheads have got to remember that my kingdom is not of this world. The Kingdom of Heaven is a kingdom of comprehension and understanding, of thoughts and ideas that began with the word. My Kingdom thus began with the word which gave light to the darkness and comprehension of all this stuff Darwin is talking about.
You guys are talking about the series of high and low pressure regions impinging upon the eardrum and I’m talking about the music. Can you dig it Daddy-O?
For can a world truly exist if it is uncomprehended? We ask what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? We might also ask what good is a PC without any software? It is like a tree in the forest that falls without sound, for there is no one to hear. Think not that I am come to debunk Darwin or his theory: I am not come to debunk science, but rather to fulfill science.
And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Darwin the things which be Darwin’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.
And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.
